Emma has just learned that her mother is a long-lost Poseidon princess, and now struggles with an identity crisis: As a Half-Breed, she's a freak in the human world and an abomination in the Syrena realm. Syrena law states all Half-Breeds should be put to death.
As if that's not bad enough, her mother's reappearance in the Syrena world turns the two kingdoms--Poseidon and Triton--against one another. Which leaves Emma with a decision to make: Should she comply with Galen's request to keep herself safe and just hope for the best? Or should she risk it all and reveal herself--and her Gift--to save a people she's never known?
The Review
3 Stars
This was a good filler book. it wasn't great and it wasn't bad. It was just good. In the second installment of the Of Poseidon Series, Emma has had quite a shock. Not only is she a half- breed (Which is illegal) but she is a Princess that is a half- breed. Talk about a shocker. In this book there is a lot less romance than in the previous book. Galen and Emma kiss like a grand total of four times. Nothing to be excited about. Although one of the best parts was when Galen told everybody he wanted to take Emma as his mate. Talk about cute. New characters were brought in and we get to see old characters grow. I love Emma's grandfather. He has a temper though but he seems to care about what happens within his family so I thought he made a wonderful addition to the Family. I liked Nalie. She had spunk. I don't think I liked Emma though. She was a bit whiny. And she kept ging back to what Chloe would want and she started questioning if she was replacing Chloe with Galen. And I was like what the heck? You can't start a new life without her? Oh Well. Hopefully she grows out of that. I can't wait for the third book though. Although the epilogue was weird. It made it seem like Of Triton was the last book. But it's not. It sure did read like it was.
