Throne of Glass- Sarah J. Maas (5 Stars)

In a land without magic, where the king rules with an iron hand, an assassin is summoned to the castle. She comes not to kill the king, but to win her freedom. If she defeats twenty-three killers, thieves, and warriors in a competition, she is released from prison to serve as the king's champion. Her name is Celaena Sardothien.

The Crown Prince will provoke her. The Captain of the Guard will protect her. But something evil dwells in the castle of glass--and it's there to kill. When her competitors start dying one by one, Celaena's fight for freedom becomes a fight for survival, and a desperate quest to root out the evil before it destroys her world.

HOLY BEJEEZUS!!!!! I loved this book! I loved Caelena. She was such a strong heroine. Although at times she acted more like a Princess than an assassin. She cared more about her appearance and her body sometimes than she did her duty. Nevertheless, I loved her. She had a spitfire attitude that I could relate with. She didn't take no for an answer and she fought for what she wanted. Alas, there was another love triange. Between the Prince and the Captain of the Guard. Both of which should hate her because ya she's an assasssin and all. But they don't. THey both find themselves falling for Caelena. Prince Dorian was the main squeeze for most of the book but then Captain Westall started looking at her in a different light. And I AM SO GLAD THAT HE DID!! I loved Captain Westall more than I like the Prince. Dorian just seemed a little off to me. But Captain Westall, in my opinion, was perfect. The competiton was kindof obvious. We all know who  wins the competition of course. I mean it's obvious. And it is also obvious who the villan in the story is. I won't say who because I don't want to ruin anything for those who haven't picked up on all the obvious things. ANYWAY I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK IN THE SERIES     CROWN OF MIDNIGHT!!! WHOOO!!!!
