The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer- Michelle Hodkin

Mara Dyer doesn't believe life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there. It can.
She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her strangely unharmed. There is.
She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love. She's wrong.

The Review
4 1/2 Stars.
Mara Dyer is messed up. Like seriously messed up. Her best friend and another friend died. Her boyfriend tried to moleste her but he died before he could finish. Mara is the one who killed them all. She didn't mean to, of course. It was an accident. She didn't know what she was doing. She didn't know about the power she possesed deep inside her. And yet it still happened. Because of this Mara moves to Florida and starts to go to a new school. On her first day, she has made one friend, an enemy in the form of the most popular girl in the school, and she has captured the attention of the school's resident Player. The Player's name is Noah and honestly he is to good to be true. Sure he has made some.... conquest, but he has a good heart. And he has Mara's heart at the forefront of his thoughts. He wants to know what makes Mara tick. He wants to find a way to make her, his. Because with one glance, Noah fell. And he fell hard. Even when Mara was trying to get rid of him, he stayed. He wanted to know her. He wanted to make her love him. And Oh! How she did! She fell just as hard as he did, if not more. But Noah has a secret. I'm not going to say what it is because it would be a serious spolier. There are a limited number of things I did not like with this book but the pros outweigh the cons. Like for example some of the dialogue seemed force. And I wished her parents didn't automatically think she was crazy. Also why id Mara think that was the right thing to do at the end? Why did she think leaving Noah was the answer? I have no idea but I AM going to figure that out.
